DRUG & ALCOHOL TESTS:

Each client will be randomly drug tested at least twice a month and breathalyzed at least once a week. The cost of these tests are included in the weekly program fees. ROOTS has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for drug and/or alcohol use. Using any type of intoxicant, legal, illegal, designer, or otherwise, is NOT allowed and will result in immediate discharge from the program.

CURFEW:

Clients must be in house by 11:30 PM on weekdays, (Sun-Thurs) and 12:00 AM on weekends, (Fri-Sat) for the first 30 days. After 30 days clients must be in house by 11:30 PM on weekdays and 1:00 AM on weekends. Clients cannot leave before 5am, 7 days a week.

WORK, VOLUNTEER or SCHOOL:

A huge part of recovery is becoming a productive member of society. Clients are required to work, volunteer, or go to school at least 20 hours per week.

12 STEP MEETINGS:

Each client must attend 90 meetings in 90 days, then 5 meetings per week after that for the duration of their stay in the program. Clients must obtain a sponsor, home group, service commitment and work the steps.

CHORES:

Each client is responsible for keeping his personal space clean and organized. Clients must make their bed every morning, do their own dishes, and laundry. Each house has shared chores, like taking out the trash or mopping the kitchen, that rotate on a weekly basis.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Each of our houses has a live-in house manager and an assistant house manager. The house managers assist in the day to day accountability of the clients. They are senior clients that have demonstrated a commitment to their personal recovery and are sincere about helping the newer clients.

ACCOUNTABILITY MEETINGS:

Each client MUST attend the weekly accountability meeting held every Sunday at 5:30pm. Clients check in on meetings, steps, work, and concerns for the house or other clients.

OVER NIGHT PASSES:

Clients in good standing are eligible for over night passes after 30 days. All clients are breathylized and drug tested prompty upon returning from the over night.

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY:

For the safety of clients, staff and neighbors the following behaviors are not tolerated and will result in immediate discharge from the program.

  • Being in possession of unauthorized drugs, drug paraphernalia.
  • Refusing to submit a U/A, breathalyzer 3RD PARTY FULL SPECTRUM ANALYSIS when asked.
  • Violence in any way towards staff, clients or the neighbors.
  • Being in possession of any type of weapon or firearm.
  • Vandalizing or stealing any property.
